The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts various exams for different categories of posts. Here are the different types of RRB exams:
RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) Exam:
· This exam is conducted for non-technical positions in Indian Railways.
· The positions include Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Traffic Assistant, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master, etc.
· The exam tests candidates on subjects like General Awareness, Arithmetic Ability, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Science.
RRB Group D Exam:
· The RRB Group D exam is conducted for various positions in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
· The positions include Track Maintainer, Helper, Assistant Pointsman, Porter, etc.
· The exam covers subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness.
RRB Junior Engineer (JE) Exam:
· The RRB JE exam is conducted for engineering positions in Indian Railways.
· The positions include Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant, etc.
· The exam covers subjects like General Awareness, Physics and Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, Technical Abilities, etc.
RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) Exam:
· This exam is conducted for the position of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician.
· The exam tests candidates on subjects like Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness.
· Additionally, there is a separate stage for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for Assistant Loco Pilot candidates.
RRB Paramedical Exam:
· The RRB Paramedical exam is conducted for various paramedical positions in Indian Railways.
· The positions include Staff Nurse, Health and Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant, etc.
· The exam covers subjects like General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and Technical Abilities.
Apart from these specific exams, RRB also conducts exams for other specialized positions such as RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Exam, RRB Level-1 Posts Exam (for various posts in Level-1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix), and RRB Apprentice Exam (for apprenticeship positions in various railway zones).
